Arsenal: Arteta details plan to return to top four
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has decided to put talks over his future to one side until he returns from Uruguay’s World Cup qualifiers next month. The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid and has revealed that he would like to join boyhood club Boca Juniors.

He has two years remaining on his Arsenal contract but appeared to fall out of favour under Mikel Arteta, despite making 89 appearances in his two seasons at the Emirates Stadium.
Torreira will likely feature prominently during Uruguay’s five World Cup qualifiers in June and will continue talks over his future when he returns to England.
“At the moment I don’t know anything,” Torreira is quoted as saying by Uruguayan outlet Ovacion.
“I still have a two-year contract with Arsenal and obviously when I finish with the national team I will have to return to Arsenal and then we will see.

“We will analyse with my representative and see what is best for me.
“But I have to make it very clear that I was very happy at Atletico. I became a champion, so I am very proud.”
Torreira revealed that he would like to play for Boca Juniors following the recent death of his mother.

On the prospect of joining the Argentine outfit, Torreira added: “There was a lot of talk after everything that happened with my mother because I expressed my feeling and my desire to come to Boca.
“But as time went by and after becoming a little calmer in the [Atletico] squad, I came to understand that everything is very difficult.
“But I won’t stop thinking about it because my idea is still to play for Boca and I know I’m going to do it. If it isn’t now, it will be later.
