Man Utd not meeting Sancho asking price is 'bizarre' says Cross
Manchester United retain transfer interest in Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer window. The England international has bounced back from missing out on a move to Old Trafford to enjoy yet another good season, scoring 12 goals and registering 12 assists across all competitions. Express Sport looks at how United could potentially line up if Sancho signs, Edinson Cavani stays and two others arrive.

United have seen their defence improve considerably this season, with just 35 goals conceded in the Premier League.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw have both improved from an attacking perspective, while Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof’s partnership has shown signs of life.
Yet while that may be the case, Solskjaer is still eyeing another centre-back - with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane his No 1 target.
Signing him won’t be easy nor easy, especially with Chelsea also emerging as potential suitors for the France international.
But United want Varane and, if that happens, the two could be the perfect match.
United remain hopeful of keeping Paul Pogba, who continues to be linked with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus.
But they could still sign a new midfielder regardless, with West Ham’s Declan Rice admired.
The England international has enjoyed a good season at the London Stadium, helping the Hammers challenge for a place in next season’s Champions League, with Solsjaer, John Murtough and Darren Fletcher all sold on his signing.
West Ham are likely to demand £100million for his arrival.
But Rice could be the perfect upgrade on Fred in the heart of Solskjaer’s side, while his arrival may also see Scott McTominay drop to the bench.
He would also offer Bruno Fernandes greater protection and may even help the Portugal international scale new heights.

Forwards: Sancho, Cavani, Rashford
United have missed out on Sancho three times in the past, in 2017, 2019 and 2020 respectively.
But, this summer, a move to Old Trafford could finally take place.
And, should that happen, Sancho would likely take up residence on the right wing of Solskjaer’s attack.
In the middle would be Cavani, who is now looking increasingly likely to stay at the Theatre of Dreams despite interest from Boca Juniors.
And on the left would be Marcus Rashford, who has continued to evolve this season.

Dortmund update
Speaking recently, Dortmund chief Michael Zorc addressed talk of Sancho leaving.
And he confirmed they had a gentleman’s agreement with the 21-year-old, who has scored 12 goals and registered 12 assists across all competitions this term.
However, the same doesn’t apply to his team-mate Erling Haaland.
“We already had a gentlemen’s agreement with Jadon last year that he can switch under certain conditions,” Zorc told ARD.
“He’s been with us for a couple of years. However, this agreement does not exist with Erling.”
