Arsenal: Arteta comments on Daniel Ek takeover speculation
Arsenal are up for sale despite Stan Kroenke's statement to the contrary last week, according to reports. Arsenal owner Kroenke and his son Josh released a statement on Tuesday confirming they have no intention to sell the club. The message came as a reaction to the news Swedish billionaire Daniel Ek had made it clear he wants to buy the Gunners.
Spotify co-found Ek is leading a consortium including three Arsenal legends in an attempt to oust the current owners.
The statement from the Kroenkes in response was quite conclusive, reading: “In recent days we have noted media speculation regarding a potential takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club.
"We remain 100 per committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the Club. We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.
“Our ambition for Arsenal remains to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game and our focus remains on improving our competitiveness on the pitch to achieve this.

"Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.”
However, the Mail claim Arsenal are in fact up for sale.
The report says Arsenal have been on the market for the last two years.
The American owners received an offer from an international financial consortium in that time and KSE said they would be willing to listen to offers of around £1.7billion for the north London club.
