Man Utd: Paul Pogba and Odion Ighalo dance in changing room
Manchester United star Odion Ighalo has revealed he’s enjoyed his time with the club. The Nigeria international is poised to return to parent club Shanghai Shenhua on January 31. But he’ll be hoping to feature in the Red Devils’ crunch Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
United signed Ighalo on transfer deadline day in January last year.
The Nigeria international arrived from Shanghai Shenhua after the club missed out on Erling Haaland, who swapped Red Bull Salzburg for Borussia Dortmund.
Ighalo initially did well at United, scoring five goals last term as the Red Devils finished in the Premier League top four.
But he’s struggled for action this term, with the former Watford star firmly behind Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani in the pecking order.
Despite that, however, Ighalo has admitted he’s enjoyed his time with the club.

"It was a good one and a tough one, before I came to United I never thought I would play," Ighalo told ESPN. "I'm a Reds fan.
"If you ask anybody where I grew up, we fight because of Manchester United. We quarrel and argue.
“So when my team didn't do well they would start to insult and argue with me and I cried. I can tell you I'm the happiest man on Earth for my dream to come true, I fulfilled my dream.
"I remember the night my agent called me to tell me Manchester United wanted me, it was 10 p.m.-11 p.m. Shanghai Time. I was under my bed naked, I didn't sleep until daybreak.
"I don't care about a pay cut, I just want go to Manchester United because this is my dream. I was under my bed shivering and walking around my room and I did not sleep until 6 a.m.

“Why not? I would like to go there if an opportunity arises. Being an experienced player, going there, doing well. It is an opportunity if it comes for me."
"The David Beckham club [Inter Miami] is growing, so if an opportunity rises why not?"
Meanwhile, United have been slammed over their treatment of Ighalo by former West Brom star Ifeanyi Udeze.
"I think Ighalo’s situation at Manchester United is now an insult," he said.

"That he could not even still play in the FA Cup shows the amount of insult he is being subjected to at the club.
“This is someone who doesn’t get to play in the Premier League and now he cannot even play in the Cup game after the coach said he will be involved.
"For me, I believe Ighalo is still a very good player who can contribute a lot to United so he shouldn’t allow what is happening now affect him.
“Thank God we are in January now so he should review his situation at United and make a decision."
