But this showdown has added bite and intrigue, with the Norwegian’s side currently sitting top of the Premier League table.

Pogba was outstanding in Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Burnley, dictating the game with authority from the middle of the pitch.
He scored the winner, too, but it was his overall performance that delighted Solskjaer. The Frenchman had the most touches, created the most chances and looked a constant threat throughout the match.
Solskjaer usually goes with Scott McTominay and Fred for the big games.
But Pogba’s recent resurgence has certainly given him a selection dilemma ahead of the Anfield showdown.
And, given his improvement, he’s definitely made a case to start the biggest match of United’s season.
