In a draw that also included both Manchester City and Manchester United, Spurs were tied against Brentford.

Tottenham vs Brentford team news
Spurs boss Mourinho faces a few injury concerns at the club, including star summer signing Gareth Bale.
The Welshman has picked up a minor calf injury, and has been ruled out of the Carabao Cup clash.
Giovani Lo Celso is still recovering from a hamstring injury, while Erik Lamela won't be taking part after being pictured at a party over the Christmas period.
Matt Doherty will also be absent, as he faces a one-match suspension, following a series of yellow cards.
Brentford, meanwhile, have an almost clean bill of health in their ranks.
The Bees will only be without midfielder Shandon Baptiste, who underwent knee surgery back in October.
Manager Thomas Frank has also confirmed that Brentford haven't had any fresh positive Covid tests ahead of the match.
A win for the Bees would see them make their first-ever domestic major cup final.

Tottenham boss Mourinho said: "Yes, I think so [his most important match as Spurs boss]. In the perspective of the club chasing silverware for many years, I would say so.
"The match against Leeds was very important as we went a few games without a victory in the Premier League but I would say a semi-final is always a very important match. The only one more important is a final."
Brentford boss Frank said: "I have studied football for many years and Jose is one of the greatest of all time so it’s a privilege to play against his team.
"I admire him a lot for having that fantastic career. But when the whistle blows it’s just another bloke standing in the dug-out."
