Tottenham: Mourinho praises ‘amazing’ 6-1 victory over Man Utd
Tottenham have reportedly made a late enquiry to sign John Stones from Manchester City. The 26-year-old has further fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad with City splashing more than £100million on Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake.
However, Stones is said to be keen to remain at the Etihad until it's made clear to him that he's no longer needed.
He is currently the fourth-choice option with Eric Garcia expected to leave for Barcelona before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
But Guardiola also has Fernandinho as an option at the back having been deployed as a makeshift centre-back last season.
He's been deployed in his more recognised midfield position in City's last three league games.

However, the 35-year-old played in defence in the Carabao Cup win over Burnley last week alongside Aymeric Laporte.
For Tottenham, they're top defensive target had been Milan Skriniar.
Inter Milan had been demanding close to £45m for the Slovakia international with reports over the weekend suggesting Spurs were going to try one last-ditch attempt to sign him.
Negotiations have stalled though with Daniel Levy now pulling the plug on a move for the 25-year-old.
