Jadon Sancho: Man Utd 'only potential buyer' says expert
Borussia Dortmund have reportedly given Manchester United a definitive answer in their bid to sign Jadon Sancho in the final week of the transfer window. Sancho has been United's top transfer target since the very start of the summer.
A deal looked relatively straightforward at the time with Dortmund open to holding discussions.
The Red Devils also emerged as the only club willing to make a move, giving them a free run at signing one of the world's best young talents.
Personal terms were also said to not be a problem, but there has been no progress for months now with United refusing to meet Dortmund's £108million asking price.
The German side had set an August 10 deadline - the start of their preseason - to United to strike a deal for Sancho.

No official bid was made by United though with reports suggesting they deemed the deadline as a negotiating tactic.
But Dortmund have stood firm at their valuation with United now entering the final week of the transfer window still holding some hope of getting a deal over the line.
Reports have claimed that United will try and make an official bid at some point this week to entice Dortmund into selling.
But Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has an update direct from Dortmund which may stop an approach from United altogether.
"They're even more entrenched in that view," he said on Sky Sports.
"I spoke to someone at the club yesterday and they're saying there's no way that the player will be sold at all this summer window.
"The actual quote was, 'it's not happening'.
"They're saying it would be silly to sell him.
