Jadon Sancho: Man Utd 'only potential buyer' says expert
Jadon Sancho to Manchester United remains an ongoing transfer saga. And reports claim that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a problem when it comes to one potential alternative, Ivan Perisic. The Inter Milan star has emerged as a potential signing, having impressed during a loan spell at Bayern Munich last season.
Sancho has been on Manchester United’s radar throughout the transfer window, with the Red Devils working hard on a deal behind the scenes to land the Borussia Dortmund star.
However, while that’s the case, they’re still a long way off bringing the 20-year-old to Old Trafford.
As a result, United have started to look at alternatives in the case the England international ends up remaining at the Westfalenstadion.
And one name who has emerged as a target is Perisic, who flourished on loan for Bayern Munich as they won the treble last season.
He’s unwanted at Inter Milan, with Antonio Conte determined to get the Croatia international off the wage bill to free up funds for potential reinforcements.
Yet BBC Sport say United have a problem when it comes to signing the forward - his wages.

Perisic ‘would come at a hefty out wage-wise’ and with United hit by the coronavirus crisis, they’d struggle to afford him.
Every game played behind closed doors at Old Trafford costs the club about £5million in lost income.
And United don’t want to stretch themselves more than they are able to, especially with their end-of-year financial results due out this month.
With Perisic, there remains a big expectation that he’ll join Bayern Munich on a permanent basis despite the Bundesliga side recently having a bid in the region of £11m rejected.
And whether United are able to get Sancho after all this transfer drama is something only time will tell.
One player the club won’t be landing is Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, who has previously been wanted by Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Jose Mourinho throughout their stints at Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old is poised to rejoin Tottenham on loan, seven years after leaving White Hart Lane for the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, club legend Gary Neville thinks United should switch to plan B immediately to avoid wasting any more time on Sancho.
“Like everyone else they had three months off because of coronavirus, so I don’t think it should be the case they didn’t have the resource or time to get things done,” Neville told the Daily Mail.
“Chelsea got their business done, [Manchester] City have got three or four pieces done. I don’t think timing’s the issue.
“It’s just a thing with United that every time they go for a player in the last four, five, six years it feels they are a little bit desperate.
“They think they can hang on but they always pay it [the asking price] in the end.
