United have been linked with Kingsley Coman amid their difficulties with signing Sancho, despite the Bayern Munich star being vital over at the Allianz Arena.
Yet the Daily Star claim the Red Devils have three other Sancho alternatives in their sights instead.
One of them is Douglas Costa, despite the Juventus star only finding the net three times across all competitions last term.
Another is Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, who has been intensely linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since his time at Southampton.
And a third is Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, despite the youngster struggling for consistency at the club following his arrival from Benfica 12 months ago.
Former United star Gary Neville has urged the club to end the Sancho saga, saying: “I think United are in a similar position to Chelsea, they’ve got to make progress from last season.
"I don't have the expectation that they’re going to break that top two this year. They have to make sure they close the gap.
"I want a striker, a centre-half and a right-winger as a must.
"I didn’t say they shouldn’t sign Sancho. They should either put a lid on it, or do it. One or the other - it’s simple - don’t have it dragging on all summer.
"My view on United is getting closer to that top two.”
