Man Utd: Pundits discuss possible Jadon Sancho transfer
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is working on deals for Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa amid Jadon Sancho transfer issues, reports say. The Red Devils are finding the Borussia Dortmund star a tough player to buy, with the Bundesliga giants holding firm. And that, it seems, has prompted the club into looking at alternative options.
Manchester United have been in talks with Borussia Dortmund about a deal for Sancho for the last few weeks.
But an agreement for the 20-year-old remains a long way off, with the Red Devils failing to sign him by the August 10 deadline the Bundesliga side set.
United are keen to sign Sancho but won’t be breaking any transfer records, mindful of how that would look at a time where the coronavirus crisis is still ongoing.
They currently have a free path to the England international with rivals Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona doing their summer shopping elsewhere.
And the Daily Mail say Woodward is working on deals for Coman and Costa amid issues regarding Sancho.
Coman has won the lot during his time at Bayern Munich and, with Leroy Sane now on board, may be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena this summer.

There’s been talk of United potentially moving for the France international on loan.
But Bayern have insisted they’d prefer a permanent deal, with the club spending the bulk of their summer kitty getting Sane in the door.
Regarding Costa, the Juventus star has been of interest to the club for a number of years.
Sir Alex Ferguson pondered signing the Brazil international as a youngster while Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal both wanted the forward to move to Old Trafford.
And he may be allowed to leave Juventus this summer, with the Old Lady keen to kickstart a new, exciting era under Andrea Pirlo in Turin.
On Tuesday, Dortmund chief Michael Zorc insisted Sancho would be staying at the Westfalenstadion following United’s failure to meet their asking price by the deadline set.
"We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final," Zorc told reporters.
"I think that answers all our questions.
"Last summer, we adjusted Jadon's salary to match the development of his performances.
"So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then."
But United legend Owen Hargreaves thinks it’s only a matter of time before Sancho makes the move to the Theatre of Dreams, regardless of what’s being said in public.
