Meanwhile, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has warned United about spending £108m on Sancho.
"When you're talking about brands like Manchester United, a play like this is as much about a player as it is about the representation of United as a global brand," Jordan told talkSPORT.
"They are setting blueprints for how they will continue to evolve.
"They have obviously overcome some challenges this season by getting into the Champions League, whether it was a very average Premier League that enabled them to get in or whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer really got it together with the signing of [Bruno] Fernandes and they clicked.

"To me, 120m euros for Sancho is a lot of money in any climate.
"I think he has gone over to Germany, done well but there will still be lots of questions asked about his performances.
"At £108m, which is what is being bandied about, there shouldn't need to be questions, they should be buying the full ticket.
"He is a good player and they will be part of a formidable United team which is beginning to be assembled there.
"When you look at that transaction and you look at Dan James, you think 'god, they are pole aparts'."
