Man Utd: Bruno Fernandes shows off impressive skills in training
Manchester United continued their stunning form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was a straightforward win over Brighton on Tuesday night. Mason Greenwood impressed, scoring the opening goal of the game. And Bruno Fernandes bagged a brace as the Red Devils closed the gap on Chelsea in the race to finish in the Premier League top four to just two points.
The Red Devils were written off by many after being beaten 2-0 by Liverpool at Anfield in January.
But, since then, Solskjaer’s side bounced back emphatically.
United are now on a run of 15 matches without defeat across all competitions. And Brighton were simply unable to cope with their speed and attacking threat.
Greenwood opened the scoring in the 16th minute with Fernandes then notching a brilliant brace, containing his impressive displays since his arrival in January.
Express Sport will now take a look at four positives the Red Devils can take from the Premier League showdown.
Before the match, everybody was talking about Jadon Sancho.
United have reportedly set a maximum fee of £50million they’re prepared to pay for the Borussia Dortmund star, who sparkled in the Bundesliga this season.
But, in Mason Greenwood, the club already possess their own future superstar.
The 18-year-old took his goal well, bamboozling the Brighton defence before unleashing a fine low finish past Mathrew Ryan in the Brighton goal.
He’s now got 13 goals across all competitions for the campaign which, when you consider his age, is quite remarkable.
