Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to bolster his attacking options in the upcoming transfer window with Timo Werner, Moussa Dembele and Harry Kane on their list of potential incomings.
However, they have also expressed interest in Brazilian star Vinicius.
The Benfica attacker signed from Napoli for £15million in July 2019 and it didn't take him long to make an impression.
The 25-year-old leads the Portuguese scoring charts this season ahead of Benfica colleague Pizzi with 20 goals and 12 assists in 36 appearances.
Vinicius, who is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes, has a €100million (£89m) release clause in his contract, that doesn't expire until June 2024.

Manager Solskjaer has already discussed United's financial power and believes the club could be in a position to 'exploit' the new transfer landscape.
"The market? Who knows how the market is going to react to this?" The Norwegian told Sky Sports. "Who knows which clubs need to sell players?
"There might be just a situation there where you can exploit, and I know that we at Manchester United we are one of the biggest, and the biggest, financially well-off.
"I’m sure we are capable, when we get back to normality, that we can do the business that we want to."
