Declan Rice 'could transfer to Chelsea' says pundit
Chelsea are unlikely to attempt to beat Manchester United to the signing of West Ham youngster Declan Rice, because Frank Lampard doesn't want to spend big on midfielders. That's according to Sky Sports pundit Kaveh Solhekol. The Blues have been linked with the young centre-midfielder, who could reportedly be sold this summer.
West Ham could be preparing to sell Rice in an attempt to restrict financial losses this summer, according to reports.
The teenage midfielder emerged as a transfer target for United and Chelsea earlier this season, and was tipped to choose Chelsea due to his friendship with Mason Mount.
However, Sky Sports pundit Solhekol thinks the Blues are unlikely to move for the star for a series of reasons, firstly being the price West Ham would demand.
Rice is viewed as the Hammers' most valuable player, and is likely to cost at least £70million for any interested team.
