Liverpool: Pundits discuss possible Timo Werner transfer
Liverpool will have to consider Dejan Lovren's friendship with star man Mohamed Salah when deciding whether to sell the Croatian defender, says Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor. Lovren has been linked with a move away from Liverpool after making just nine appearances in the Premier League this season. The 30-year-old has found himself behind both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip in the pecking order at Anfield, as well as last season's PFA Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk.

"Do I expect Dejan Lovren to leave this summer? Do you know what I'm not sure anymore," O'Connor said.
"I thought at one point the Roma deal would have happened last summer and it didn't.
"There was a time where I thought Dejan would push for the opportunity for regular first-team football elsewhere if it was offered, but now there seems to be a slight change in that.
"When I last interviewed him he admitted he wanted to play each week but at the same time something special is happening at Liverpool which makes it difficult to leave.

"On top of that he's best mates with Mo Salah, so there's a dressing room dynamic to consider from both the player's perspective and the club's perspective as well.
"Yes he wants Jurgen Klopp to play him more but there's still a decent relationship between the two as well.
"Klopp trusts him and Lovren knows he will get opportunities even if they're not as often as he would like.
"So apologies for sitting on the fence here but I could see Lovren staying beyond this summer, particularly given the impact the coronavirus pandemic is likely to have on the transfer market, and the difficulty there could subsequently be in bringing in an adequate replacement.

"Similarly, if an offer came in that suited Lovren then it wouldn't be a massive surprise to see him go.
"But as has been the case in the past, it would have to be a deal that suits Liverpool as well."
