Liverpool: Pundits discuss possible Timo Werner transfer
Liverpool have forced the Chelsea hierarchy into a transfer rethink ahead of the summer. The Blues had been keen on signing Timo Werner, but the German now looks destined to move to Anfield.
Express Sport reported back in January that Frank Lampard was keen on bringing Werner to Stamford Bridge, while there was also interest in Moussa Dembele.
Werner made it clear he was committed to RB Leipzig until the end of the season at least.
He reiterated his desire to focus on a potential title charge before focusing on the European Championships with Germany.
Of course, the tournament will not be taking place this summer anymore with UEFA postponing the Euros until next year.

Aubameyang has just one year left on his deal and does not appear to be set on signing an extension.
Earlier this year it seemed like Chelsea were prepared to push Liverpool for Werner, but now they're unlikely to rival the Reds.
Werner has already began mastering his English with private lessons.
He has made no secret of his desire to move to the Premier League, registering a firm interest in the idea of working under Jurgen Klopp.

"There's one of the best managers in the world with Jurgen Klopp, and he is also German,” Werner said after a 5-0 win over Schalke in February.
“Many things suggest that I would maybe fit in (at Liverpool) very well with my playing style.
"But I don't think about that at the moment because we have so much to do with Leipzig.”
Werner has a release clause of £52million which expires on June 15.
Chelsea could still test the water by tabling that figure which Liverpool are reportedly unlikely to pay.
