Leeds United have been handed a positive transfer message by Manchester City about their recently acquired new right-back, Yan Couto. The Brazilian signed for Pep Guardiola's side at the start of March, and the Citizens are open to letting him join Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road next season on loan.

Couto decided to join City earlier this season, with the Citizens edging out Barcelona in the race for his signature.
The 17-year-old held two personal meetings with Guardiola, as the Spaniard aimed to convince the youngster to link up with him at the Etihad.
The club were actively tracking Couto for months before they officially unveiled their new signing.
City first decided to try and sign Couto back in November, after the Under-17s World Cup.

"The teenager has already won 13 caps for his country at Under-17 level and was part of the Brazil team that won the Under-17s World Cup last November – a tournament where he created more chances than any other defender.
"Everyone at the Club looks forward to welcoming Yan in the summer."
Meanwhile, Leeds' current right-back, Luke Ayling, has been in superb form in recent months.
The 28-year-old has scored three goals in Leeds' last five Championship matches, including a goal-of-the-season contender in their latest win; a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.
