Man Utd: Pundit gives opinion on Woodward backing Solskjaer
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will hope to get a deal for Jadon Sancho over the line before Euro 2020 as he fears the 19-year-old’s price could inflate with a strong showing for England.
Potentially five of England seven matches, including the semi-finals and finals, could be on home soil at Wembley.
That should provide Gareth Southgate’s side with the springboard to go one better than their World Cup semi-final last time out.
This year they will also benefit from Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho’s inclusion in the squad.
The international competition gets underway on June 12 so Woodward will look to get a deal for Sancho completed bag before then, according to the Telegraph.
The former Manchester City youngster is likely to command a fee of around £100million which would be a record for a Premier League club.

But if Sancho stars at the summer tournament that could rise way above that figure - which would be an issue if the Red Devils are not boosted by Champions League revenue.
United’s profits took a huge hit this year after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was only able to guide his side to a sixth-placed finish last term.
They have improved this time around are fifth, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Sancho was quizzed on a potential return to the Premier League after scoring the only goal as Dortmund beat Freiburg 1-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
