Tottenham: Harry Kane injury is a ‘big loss’ says Jose Mourinho
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Harry Kane has refused to accept that he won’t be returning to action until the end of the season. The England captain has returned to light training, and Mourinho was optimistic that he’ll be back to full fitness ahead of schedule.
Kane was injured at the start of the calendar year, in a Premier League match against Southampton.
He was ruled out for the majority of the season with a thigh injury, after limping off the pitch at St Mary’s on New Year’s Day.
It was initially expected that he’d be back in training in April.
But, after photographs emerged of Kane training with the squad on Friday afternoon, Mourinho admitted that he’s optimistic about Kane’s return to fitness.
