Owen Hargreaves sends message
Manchester United's new signing Bruno Fernandes is perfectly replicating the goals and assists from Paul Pogba, but they still need to spend “top dollar” to sign a new central midfielder if he leaves in the summer.
That’s the opinion of former United ace Owen Hargreaves.
“I think it takes pressure off the whole Paul Pogba situation now Bruno is there.
“You don’t have to worry about his goals and assists, or him being the best player.
“Now you can have one who [can replicate that].
“If Paul leaves because of the contract and all that, they’ve got to get top dollar for him and get someone in who can effect that midfield as well.
“I think right now, Fred, [Scott] McTominay and Fernandes are great, really good.”

Alexis Sanchez is still eager to leave Manchester United on a permanent basis.
The Chilean attacker is currently enjoying a loan spell with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan, where he’s netted one goal and three assists in 13 appearances.
However, recent reports have claimed that Inter will not make a move unless United significantly drop their asking price.
Despite that, Gazzetta dello Sport claim the South American is still hopeful that he can impress enough to secure a transfer.

However, Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claim United, Bayern Munich and Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton remain in the hunt.

Becks transfer plans
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are potential targets for Inter-Miami, co-owner David Beckham said, underscoring his team's global ambition as they prepare to make their long-awaited MLS debut this weekend.
Seven years after a tortuous process began, Beckham's "project" will finally take the field on Sunday when Inter-Miami travel to Los Angeles to face LAFC in their first MLS regular season game.
More than 13 years since he shocked the soccer world by turning his back on Real Madrid to sign with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Beckham remains the biggest name in Major League Soccer.
But maybe not for long, the former England and Manchester United captain hinting his club might take a page from the Galaxy playbook he helped write and go out and sign the game's biggest stars.
"Every team in the world would want Messi and Ronaldo in their teams. But we always talked about us being different from any other team, which I am sure every other owner says exactly the same thing," Beckham told Reuters.

Barcelona are focused on signing Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez, 22, is enjoying a terrific season under Antonio Conte at the San Siro having scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 30 appearances.
And his exploits haven’t gone unnoticed with the Catalan giants desperate to bring him in to partner Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona can’t afford to pay Martinez’s £94million release clause that MUST be activated July 1 and July 15 because of Financial Fair Play restrictions.
To navigate that, the Spanish champions will either include two players in an audacious swap deal or offer a figure higher than his release clause that’s paid in instalments.

Man Utd vs Club Brugge
Manchester United go into the second leg of their last 16 Europa League tie against Club Brugge with the score 1-1 on aggregate.
Anthony Martial's first-half strike gave United a valuable away goal and the edge in the last 32 tie ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford.
Bruges took the lead in the 15th minute, a mistake from United keeper Sergio Romero allowing Dennis to lob him for the opener.
But Martial got United back on level terms in the 36th minute with his 14th goal of the season, giving Solskjaer's side the upper hand.
We’ll have LIVE coverage from Old Trafford from 6pm onwards.

Manchester United could improve their defence by bringing in a quick centre-back to partner Harry Maguire, says transfer expert Duncan Castles.
United splashed out a world-record fee for a defender of £80million on Maguire when he joined from Leicester last summer.
“They’ve got the goalkeeper, they can hang onto the goalkeeper, very difficult to improve on him at the kind of prices that you’re looking at for goalkeepers,” Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.
“You could, and I think this is where they will have to go if they want to upgrade the defence, put a higher quality centre-back in beside Maguire and he will need to be quick, will need to be very quick, to compensate for Maguire’s lack of pace and his positional errors.”
