Arsenal: Gabriel Martinelli’s ability praised by pundits
Liverpool have been scouting two Arsenal youngsters, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, after impressive performances for the Gunners this season. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has built an incredibly strong starting XI and as a result won’t be looking to bring in established stars during the summer.
Instead the club are focusing on signing players who are showing great potential and have identified Martinelli and Saka.
According to Football Insider, a Liverpool source has told them that the Reds are monitoring Martinelli and Saka after their almost instant impact in the Arsenal first team.
Martinelli has had a fantastic debut season for Arsenal and already has 10 goals and four assists in just 23 appearances for the club.
The Gunners signed the 18-year-old from Brazilian side Ituano last summer for a fee of around £6million.

However, Saka has also caught Liverpool’s attention after the youngster has demonstrated he can play anywhere on the left flank.
Although his main position is an attacking left midfielder, the 18-year-old has been used as an emergency left-back by Arsenal this season, following injuries to Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac.
Saka has made 25 appearances for the Gunners this season, during which he has scored three goals and provided seven assists.
The teenager has entered the last 18 months of his current contact and Arsenal are now looking to tie down the youngster with a new long-term deal.
