Rangers boss Steven Gerrard readying Sporting Lisbon transfer raid to bolster midfield
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is plotting a January transfer raid on Sporting Lisbon for midfielder Miguel Luis, as the Portuguese club are already set to lose Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United.
Rangers are interested in signing Sporting Lisbon star Miguel Luis on a short-term loan deal. Steven Gerrard wants to recruit the 20-year-old until the end of the season, at least.

Manager Jorge Silas would sanction the loan move to Rangers for Luis.
He doesn’t consider the youngster a key part of his squad, and he’s unlikely to feature regularly for the first-team.
This season, Luis has started just two matches in the Primeira Liga, but did feature three times in the Europa League.
Luis started his career at Sporting Lisbon, and is yet to move anywhere on loan.
