Bruno Fernandes: Man United 'wasting window on deal' says fan
Bruno Fernandes is preparing to say goodbye to Sporting Lisbon ahead of his potential move to Manchester United, according to reports from Portugal. The Red Devils have until the transfer window shuts on Friday to land the 25-year-old having spent the bulk of the month chasing a deal.
Fernandes to Manchester United is a transfer saga that has dominated the January window so far.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Ed Woodward he wants the Sporting Lisbon star signed having grown annoyed at the struggles of Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard in the playmaker role this season.
Reports in England have suggested a deal for the player remains in limbo.
But Portuguese newspaper O Jogo have said the opposite, claiming that Fernandes is preparing to say goodbye to Sporting, having been at the club since touching down from Serie A side Sampdoria back in 2017.
It's also claimed that United are ironing out details regarding the Portugal international.
The Red Devils will reportedly pay a fixed £46million for the player, before paying an extra £12m in add-ons.

The agent told Four Four Two: “Normally I’ll criticise United’s recruitment at the drop of a hat but they’re playing this right and reading the situation well.
"Sporting are desperate for the money. They try to be like Benfica or Porto but they don’t manage themselves as well or have the same cash flow.
“There are no other buyers for Fernandes to my knowledge.
"Tottenham, in my view, are in a worse position than they were in in the summer. They’re struggling to move players out.
"They misread the market and were getting away with brinkmanship for years. People (agents) are not playing their game any more.

“What other options are there? The bottom has gone from the Chinese market and the golden days are over there now. United should be prepared to go to the wire.”
The agent also insisted that Fernandes was eager to make the move to United.
“Sporting killed Fernandes in the last transfer window,” they added.
“He wanted to go but didn’t make a fuss when it didn’t happen. Instead, he put his head down carried on working and doing well. He’s served them well and they’ll make a huge profit on him.
"Sporting should get around the table and get it done, but I agree that while it all looks messy to fans there’s very little United can do to stop themselves being linked with 100 players.”
