Man Utd: Solskjaer admits performance ‘wasn’t good enough’
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw his side's hopes of a Premier League top four finish dealt a massive blow by Burnley on Wednesday night. Sean Dyche's side left Old Trafford with three points to their name courtesy of goals from Chris Wood and Jay Rodriguez. And Solskjaer has vowed to talk to his players to get them back on song after the loss.

"The boys have given everything they have got but they are experiencing this period for the first time in their lives. When you are at Manchester United you are playing at the biggest and best club in the world. Some of them have played 10, 12, 15 games and it's not easy for them.
"I'm going to back them and help them get through this. We can't do anything but hold our hands up and say it's not good enough.
"You can talk about it all day long and we are disappointed with our points tally. We work every single day for these boys to improve and perform better than this."
United legend Rio Ferdinand was livid after the game, telling the BT Sport studio: "I am a football fan. I love this club and want it to do well.
"Since that point (beating PSG last year) it has been a rocky road. It is not just one area. It all needs to be brought together and it needs someone to come in with a vision to do that.
"You look at some of the players that have come in - were these players ever Manchester United players, really?
"Who is buying these players? The manager who wanted them for now or the club?
"£600m has been spent on this squad and the best players this season have been home grown talent. That speaks volumes about the recruitment. It tells you how shoddy it has been.
"Look at Liverpool, they buy the best players to fit in their system. It is not a short term fix. Total opposite end of the scale here."
Meanwhile, Burnley star Rodriguez expressed his delight with the result.
