David Luiz: Pundit ‘sympathises’ with red card decision
Chelsea have been warned they still haven’t replaced legendary defender John Terry, and as a result they have no leaders on the pitch. The Blues are yet to sign a senior player in the January transfer market.
Ex-Chelsea winger Karen Carney was critical of the Blues’ team after they threw away two leads against Arsenal on Tuesday night.
The Champions League-chasing Blues were twice pegged back by the Gunners, who had to play the majority of the game with ten men.
David Luiz saw red after taking down Tammy Abraham after just 25 minutes.
The Brazilian pulled the forward to the ground after he rounded Bernd Leno and closed in on an open goal, with Jorginho sliding in the resulting penalty.

Despite Chelsea having the advantage of the extra man, they were unable to make any of their chances pay or kill off the game.
Instead, they let the Gunners level the game on 62 minutes through Gabriel Martinelli, before Hector Bellerin’s last-gasp equaliser cancelled out Cesar Azpilicueta’s 84th-minute goal.
And Carney discussed the game on BBC’s Football Daily podcast, as she criticised their inability to replace Terry.
The former Chelsea player explained why Frank Lampard’s side are crying out for a new leader on the pitch, something she believes they haven’t had since Terry’s departure in 2017.

Chelsea have failed to win the league since Terry left, finishing fifth in their first season without him.
The Blues have reportedly been targeting a central defender during the January window, with Nathan Ake and Lewis Dunk both linked.
But speaking after the draw with Arsenal, Lampard dismissed the idea that they will sign any defenders in January.

“No, not at the moment,” he said when asked if any defenders were on his radar.
“I know and I feel where we need strengthening, not just in January, it is a difficult window for us.
“It is probably more of a short-term window for us.
“What this season has given us and continues to give us is answers on the pitch and in areas where I think we can get better and that's for me to get right, I suppose for us, but not so much in this window."
