Chelsea ‘need help and experience going forward’ says pundit
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants to strength “in attacking areas” because his team “need to be more clinical”. The Blues can bolster their squad this month after their transfer ban was lifted, with reports suggesting they have a budget of £150million at their disposal.
“I wouldn’t say ‘a goalscorer’ but we need to be more clinical in the box in terms of our front line,” added Lampard.
"When we attack and spend a lot of time around the opposition's box, we have chipped in with some goals from midfield and have people who can arrive from midfield.
“But the broader reality is that we need more goals from the front line.”
Chelsea have until January 31 to conclude any transfer business.
Sky Sports say Dembele is on of the attacking options Chelsea are looking at this month.
The Blues have reportedly already seen a £34million bid turned down.
It is thought Lampard sees similarities between Dembele and former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.
