US election: Trump finishes CNN presidential debate with closing statement

Diehard enthusiasts of the Disney Channel sensation Shake It Up have been left utterly stunned by the latest revelation about one of the show's former stars.

From teen dancing aspirations to the gritty realm of politics, Caroline Sunshine, notably remembered as the snobbish Tinka Hessenheffern from the hit 2010 series, has made an unpredicted leap in her career trajectory.

While the series is known for catapulting Zendaya and Bella Thorne into the limelight, Sunshine seems to have twirled dramatically off-course, landing squarely in the political arena.

Stepping into the spotlight once more, 28-year-old Caroline joins the fray, not on stage but as the deputy director of communications for Donald Trump's controversial 2024 presidential campaign.

This bombshell has thrown fans of the show for a loop, with social media buzzing in disbelief.

An X user (formerly Twitter) exclaimed: "In a truly wtf moment I just learned that the actress who played the evil Eastern European exchange student in the Disney channel show Shake It Up, opposite Zendaya, is now Trump's deputy comms director."

@MovieManKevin also cracked amid the social media frenzy: "Wow, guess you could say that she... shook it up," while @QteeFoxx voiced confusion about such a drastic switch-up, posting: "That was not the turn of events I was expecting??? How did she even get from here to there?"

CNN reports that Caroline, known for her start as a White House intern after applying via the official website, has seamlessly transitioned into the political sphere.

Landing a spot as press assistant for Trump in 2018, she's been on an upward trajectory within the ranks.

Caroline's recent share included a Fox News interview following the raucous presidential debate, where she did not shy away from expressing her candid thoughts: "I do not think the American people are worried about four more years of Joe Biden. I think they are worried about four more months of Joe Biden."
