Mourinho has long admired West Ham star Declan Rice.
During his time as United manager the 56-year-old monitored the progress of the England international amid his hunt for a midfield general.
Mourinho likes players with grit and style in the middle of the park. He’s seen the likes of Claude Makelele, Nemanja Matic, Michael Essien and Lassana Diarra thrive under his management over the years.
And Rice could be his chosen signing for Arsenal given his past admiration of the West Ham star.
