Speaking on October 8, he said: “It was just an operation on my hand but I’m okay.
“It will be a couple of weeks, get the plaster off and bandages and stitches out and I should be back in a couple of weeks time hopefully.
“It helps (that it’s the international break), I missed last Saturday and I’ll probably miss the Saturday after (the break) as well.
“But it’s one of those things, it was just going to get worse and worse.
“It’s great that Julian Warren gets the chance to do the show, and I’ve had lots of nice messages. It made me feel a lot better.

“It’s quite complicated to explain but it’s a syndrome that affects your fingers, fingers bending at right angles so eventually your hand becomes quite difficult to use, to grip things properly.
“That was the stage mine had got to, some fingers on my hand anyway. They basically cut all the tendons and straightened them up.”
Stelling misses a busy day of Premier League action with eight matches taking place today.
Reigning champions Manchester City head to Crystal Palace in the evening kick-off while Tottenham host Watford at 3pm.
Chelsea will welcome Newcastle at the same time with Leicester, Aston Villa and Wolves also among the teams playing.
