Emery said: “Our target is to achieve three, four players to really improve our team and squad now.
“We are being very demanding and we are also first speaking about the possibility to sign very big players, very expensive.
“The first player in our list is the first target and after, if we cannot have that then [we try to sign] the second, but thinking every time that they are going to improve our team.”
Emery has also opened up on meeting with top brass at the club as he looks to sign new players.
He explained: “We are having a lot of meetings with the club, with [technical director] Edu, also with Josh and Stan Kroenke in Denver.

“We have a very clear idea: to sign the players who can help us with a good performance and in the positions we need.”
Emery was also pushed on whether Arsenal are interested in Real Madrid ace Ceballos.
The Spaniard refused to rule out a transfer for the 22-year-old.
He said: “I don’t want to speak about the names but Ceballos is a very good player.”

Josh Kroenke has also revealed there could be some deals imminent for Arsenal.
He told fans: “I would say ‘be excited’. There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.
“Nothing is ever a done deal until it’s a done deal, obviously, but we know we have key areas we want to address in our squad, both now and in the future.
“Our entire football operations staff have a great grasp on that and I’ve encouraged them to be as aggressive as possible.”
