Los Blancos have signed Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, who may push the Welshman further down the pecking order.
But despite that, it’s unlikely that Real will be able to get Bale off their books.
Meanwhile, ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop believes Bale would suit United well if he were to move to Old Trafford this summer.
“Manchester United could do with a signing like Gareth Bale,” Hislop told ESPN FC.
“Now whether he would go there without Champions League football is another discussion but right now we are talking about what club would be the right fit.
“Even at the money that he would come at would they take a chance on him?
“If you spread his salary out of five years you are talking somewhere around £250,000-a-week which is abut what they are paying there top players with Alexis Sanchez being the exception.
“I think United take a chance. They need a statement signing and there is no other player that qualifies for that will go to Manchester United right now.”
Bale was wanted by United in the summer of 2013, when he was at Tottenham.
But the forward chose to join Real instead, moving in a huge £86million deal.
