Despite Celtic boss Lennon guiding the side to the title on Saturday, Crooks reckons that Lennon’s time at the club is up.
"Rangers are breathing down their necks," Crooks told BBC Sport.
"They need to make sure they have someone at the helm who can take them forward and keep Rangers where they want them to be. That's not an easy task.

Lennon has won eight of his 12 games since returning to Celtic Park in February, drawing the other three fixtures.

”It's been really tough,” Lennon told Sky Sports after Celtic’s 3-0 win over Aberdeen put them 12 points clear of Rangers with three games to play.
“I have to say it's been the toughest piece of management I've had to do.
