Lionel Messi: Barcelona beating Sevilla shows why he should ignore Cristiano Ronaldo bait
LIONEL MESSI starred as Barcelona beat Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday. And, in the process, he showed exactly why he should never rise to Cristiano Ronaldo’s bait.
"I'd like him to come to Italy one day,” the Juventus forward said.
“I hope he accepts the challenge like me, but if he's happy there then I respect that.”
But, seriously, why would Messi leave?
The Barcelona star’s goal glut against Sevilla means he has a staggering 25 goals from 23 La Liga appearances this season.
Compare that to Ronaldo in Italy, who has struck a respectable 19 times, and there is no reason why Messi would quit a league where defenders tremble at his very name.

Also, why would Messi leave when Barcelona have players this good?
Once again, the 31-year-old stole the show with a stunning individual display.
But Luis Suarez was similarly spectacular and deserved his goal against Sevilla, too.
Philippe Coutinho also caught the eye before being replaced by Ousmane Dembele.
