That is the honest verdict of BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton, who was left thoroughly unimpressed by Manchester United’s performance in the Champions League against Young Boys on Tuesday at Old Trafford.
United required a stoppage time strike from Marouane Fellaini to seal their progress into the knockout stages of the competition.
Mourinho reacted furiously after Fellaini’s goal as he picked up a large crate of bottles and hurled them to the ground.
And Sutton thinks Mourinho’s strop typified United’s campaign to date.
Reacting to the incident, he said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Yep it wasn’t great but they got the desired result.
“In the end, it doesn’t matter.
“It’s job done, they are through.
“Performance wise again, it’s been the way Utd have been all season.

There’s a lack of belief and that stems from the unrest in the dressing room

“There’s a lack of belief and that stems from the unrest in the dressing room.
“I’m not sure whether the players are giving their all for the manager.
“It was Route 1 football that got them the winner.
“It was such an important goal and a big goal otherwise they would have gone to Valencia and they would have been under enormous pressure.”
