Express Sport understands Celtic will not stand in Dembele’s way as they don’t want to renege on a verbal agreement and keep an unhappy player in Glasgow.
Although Brendan Rodgers has admitted he is eager for the 22-year-old to stay put.
"We don’t want to lose Moussa," Rodgers said on Wednesday.
"We make that known as well.

"He’s not one we want to lose, but it’s something that has come up and he and his representatives have asked to explore that, which is natural.
"I’ve heard, I’ve read, I’ve seen for the last two years about at least 20 clubs, of which we’ve had one team who have come to us and asked us about Moussa.
"Even this one here, we haven’t had a concrete offer, but there’s been contact by the club."
Sutton, who spent six trophy-laden years at Celtic, has now sent a message to Rodgers regarding Dembele.

"Brendan says 'we don’t want Moussa to leave'…" Sutton wrote on Twitter.
"Don’t let him go then…"
Celtic will likely be forced to delve into the market before Friday’s transfer deadline to replace Dembele.
And Rodgers has admitted recruiting a striker is not something he'd planned for at this late stage.

"There are areas of the pitch where we’re strong and up front is one, especially with Odsonne Edouard now coming back," Rodgers said.
"But it wasn’t one we were looking at."
Celtic have the matter of a Europa League play-off against Suduva to deal with tonight.
And Dembele is unlikely to figure as Lyon edge closer to prising him away.
