Phillip Schofield was fulfilling his usual Dancing On Ice presenting duties alongside Holly Willoughby when the moment came.
The 55-year-old couldn’t hide his anger when someone appeared to insult him on the ITV contest.
It unfolded as an unidentified man appeared from the sidelines to give Holly, 37, a rose in honour of the Valentine’s Day theme.
“Oh, thank you very much,” she said in response to the gesture.

Nothing! Nothing? Whatever
While Holly was pleased with the gift, the man did not give anything to Phillip who stood there empty handed.
The host clearly took umbrage with the snub, as he looked at the two of them and said: “Nothing! Nothing? Whatever.”
However, despite the commotion, it was clear the moment was all in jest and part of the show’s script.
This week the celebrities took to the Valentine’s theme with love-inspired skating routines.

Max Evans and partner Ale Izquierdo achieved their highest score of the series by receiving 29 points for their skate to I Believe In A Thing Called Love.
Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton also received his highest mark so far with 21 points.
Lemar, on the other hand, suffered a fall from grace with his skate to Adele’s Someone Like You receiving just 20 points, half a mark less than last week.
The singer has found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard throughout the show so far.
Dancing On Ice: Phillip was disappointed not to receive a gift
He has narrowly avoided being booted off several times by winning three skate-offs.
His survival came as a shock to viewers last week who were certain he’d be the one to go.
However, viewers will have to wait and see whether the 39-year-old survives another week.
Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
