EMMERDALE fans are certainly in for an explosive week of episodes as Emma Barton finally gets her comeuppance for killing her husband James, which will see her fight nemesis Moira in a burning barn.

Fans of the long-running ITV soap will see Emma (played by Gillian Kearney) confess to Moira (Natalie J. Robb) that she is responsible for James' (Bill Ward) death before they come to blows.
Viewers can expect to see the pair brawling with pitchforks before engaging in a slanging match as they stand on burning ladders.
Speaking about her explosive final episodes, soap star Gillian, said: "As soon as the director says, 'Action!' you just go for it. It's not until afterwards that you think, 'Oh my goodness, what have I just done?'
"When Natalie and I were in that environment, shouting at each other across these ladders that were completely on fire, I didn't have to act - it was all done for me!"

The actress went on to add to TV Times: "Emma's not intending to hurt Moira. She's going there to say, 'I killed my husband, and it's all your fault, not mine'.
"She has accepted that it's game over, and wants to make Moira understand that if she'd left James alone, then he'd still be alive. and she and the boys wouldn't have this terrible darkness in their lives."
While she will finally get her comeuppance, Gillian has admitted she has tried to make Emma more "human" and relatable to audiences at home.

Emmerdale: Gillian said that she has struggled to get viewers to relate to Emma
"My constant struggle has been to make Emma a human being and not a cliché," she added. "I’ve loved trying to find her humanity.
"I do feel sorry for her. She's flawed, very fragile, and sometimes things overwhelm her."
Fans will have to wait to find out if Emma will survive the blaze or if she will be locked up for James' death but one thing is for certain, her exit will be explosive.
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7pm.
