Fans complain about 'shaky' camera work on ITV's Fearless
The six-part series follows human rights lawyer Emma Banville (played by Helen McCrory) and her mission to help a man wrongly imprisoned for a murder he didn’t commit.
During her investigations, Emma is set to stumble across a conspiracy that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined and involves people in the highest levels of power on both sides of the Atlantic.
Despite the weighty subject matter, many viewers were left distracted by the camera work - much of which appeared to be a handheld camera.
Many people took to Twitter to comment on the cinematography as one person said: “#Fearless itv. Why the odd camera angles etc? They detract from the enjoyment. I don't turn a book sideways to make it more interesting.”
While a second added: “Struggling to watch ITV's #fearless, especially on a TV with a fast refresh rate. But I guess the "handheld" camera look is the in thing.”
“Struggling to watch #Fearless @ITV The camera work is horrendous! #seasick,” said a third.

Another echoed their sentiments as they tweeted: “Enjoying #Fearless but too many close ups, camera angles and swift movements. Great story and acting though! @ITV #drama #thriller #acting.”
The programme makers of the ITV show recently revealed that they wrote new scenes into the show to include references to US President Donald Trump.

"Returning to it in January or February, we did those [new] scenes, we all really enjoyed relocating the scenes in 2017."
Director Pete Travis added: "We wanted all the characters to have a rich history and Miriam's character is the background to that story, and the complex nature of what it would be like to be living in London and the way you could be targeted if you were innocent or not.”
Fearless airs on ITV on Mondays at 9pm.
