The episode wasn’t going well for Phil as he was first shouted at by Jane for skinny-dipping, despite a group of the girls doing the same last week.
Former police-officer Jane confronted Phil for walking around in the nude in front of the group’s young females.
Just after that, Phil was desperately trying to collect some firewood for the group and almost chopped his finger off with a machete.

Medics were called on to the island to clean up the traumatic wound.
After a restless night, it seemed that Jane had had enough and set about starting a group vote to evict Phil.
As the group voted nine-to-six to remove Phil, the cameraman decided to respect their wishes and leave the island.
However, Channel 4 viewers were not impressed, stating on Twitter that they would be boycotting the show after tonight’s “horrific” scenes.
One posted: “Put me off watching #TheIsland what a bunch of nasty people full of double standards @BearGrylls.”

Another tweeted: “@TheIsland seriously not watching this c**p anymore. Cannot believe this has been aired. Poor Phil’s family watching #humiliating #TheIsland.”
A third agreed, adding: “Not sure I’ll be watching the rest of this series, no interest in seeing how bullies and bystanders survive in the wild #TheIsland.”
A fourth commented: “#TheIsland has been deleted from my Sky+ as not watching now. Shame on you @channel4 producers for allowing that disgusting behaviour!”
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative from Channel 4 for comment.
The Island with Bear Grylls airs Mondays on Channel 4 from 9pm.
