Who is Bakuto?
The mysterious Bakuto (Ramon Rodriguez) is introduced as Colleen Wing’s (Jessica Henwick) martial arts sensei.
Bakuto initially presents himself as someone who wants to help the Iron Fist in his fight against criminal organisation known as The Hand.
He teaches Danny Rand (Finn Jones) how to harness his powers to heal Colleen’s poisoning and offers him refuge in his sanctuary.
The mysterious Bakuto left viewers questioning if he was based on a comic book character or not
But the two-faced man is soon revealed to be the leader of an off-shoot of The Hand, responsible for locating orphans and training them as warriors.
After Danny escapes his sanctuary, Bakuto strikes a deal with Harold Meachum (David Wenham) and starts syphoning money out of Rand Enterprises.
After a big confrontation towards the season’s finale, Bakuto is seemingly stabbed to death by Danny's friend Davos (Sacha Dhawan) during a fight.
But as Danny and Davos argue about the moral ethics of killing a wounded man, Bakuto's body disappears, suggesting he still might be alive.
If this is true, fans of the series could expect the villain to return in the second season of Iron Fist.

Does Bakuto appear in Marvel comics?
In the comic books, Bakuto is only a minor player who appears briefly in the Daredevil comics.
He was the Daimyo, or leader, of The Hand in South America who challenged Daredevil’s leadership as an outsider.
But Bakuto did not last long in the comics because his plan to kill Daredevil is interrupted by White Tiger kills him instead.

Is Iron Fist returning for season two?
I think they didn’t want to start it straight away into the Defenders, and wanted to save it for series two
Finn Jones will return as Danny Rand, the Iron Fist, in the Netflix series Defenders later in 2017.
British actor Sacha Dhawan, who played Danny’s friend Davos and potential nemesis Steel Serpent, hinted a second season will come.
He said: “The crux of Danny and Davos’ story I think really begins towards the end of season one, and I think they didn’t want to start it straight away into the Defenders, and wanted to save it for series two.”
A second season of Iron Fist has not been confirmed by either Marvel or Netflix.
