THE CHARLATANS' Tim Burgess suffered a whole range of emotions when he tuned into BBC One's Pointless last night.

The singer-songwriter jokingly thanked host Richard Osman after he discovered he was one of the answers in the popular quiz show.
However, the 49-year-old admitted what followed was a "crushing blow" after discovering not many people knew his name.
Contestants were given the question: "Singer who became the frontman of The Charlatans in late 1980s?" during a round on famous Tims.
Taking to Twitter, the star tweeted his 112,000 followers: "The giddy heights of being an answer on Pointless."

Tim later quipped: "Followed swiftly by the crushing blow of only four people out of 100 knowing the answer."
The programme, which is also fronted by Alexander Armstrong, also led him to write: "Last two tweets are fame in a nutshell. Thanks @richardosman."
Thankfully, Tim appeared to take it all in jest but some fans sent him some reassuring messages afterwards.
