Strictly Come Dancing 2016: Kevin Clifton admits Louise could FINALLY help him win
HE’S been in the final of Strictly Come Dancing every single year since he joined, but never won - and now Kevin Clifton has admitted that Louise Redknapp could finally help him lift the Glitterball Trophy.
Strictly's Kevin hopes to finally win competition with Louise
After finishing in the runner-up slot with Susanna Reid, Frankie Bridge and Kellie Bright, now the Grimsby-born 34-year-old is aiming for glory after topping the leader-board over the weekend.
Appearing with Louise on Good Morning Britain today, he was asked by Ben Shephard: “So is this the year?”
“I don’t want to put any pressure on Louise,” he said diplomatically, before adding: “But yeah! Hopefully.”
“I wish he’d had bad partners,” Louise laughed. “He’s had brilliant partners every time!”

The pair scored 39/40 for their Argentine Tango on Saturday
Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway grilled the double act
I don’t want to put any pressure on Louise... But yeah!
The duo’s Argentine Tango scored 39 points on Saturday night, including three 10s - giving them the joint-highest mark of the entire series so far.
“Everybody’s so good,” Louise said. “Each week is a bonus. Just because you’re on the top one week, I could be at the bottom this week!”
This weekend the pair are attempting an American Smooth, with the former singer admitting: “We’ve only had a few hours and it’s early days. I always have a meltdown on Monday and Tuesday.
“Then I try to feel better Thursday, get really scared Friday… General rule of thumb.”
Louise finally had her breakout moment on Saturday
In the Strictly Come Dancing betting markets, Louise has now eclipsed Ore Oduba to become second favourite, after the BBC Sport presenter - who is partnered by Kevin’s sister Joanne - wound up in the bottom two on Sunday.
Former Hollyoaks actor Danny Mac, however, remains the frontrunner, along with his partner Oti Mabuse.
Strictly Come Dancing returns this Saturday at 6:55pm on BBC One.
