Leading online bookmaker Betway have named the Location, Location, Location hosts the new favourites to take the reigns from the exiting Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, who announced their departure last week.
The odds have been placed at 7/2 for the duo to anchor the baking contest, overtaking news reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
Guru-Murthy has been placed at 5/1 for a stint on the show, followed by Olympic host Clare Balding at 7/1 and This Morning’s Holly Willoughby at 8/1.
Sarah Beeny is next with a 10/1 chance of trying her hand at overseeing the Bake Off.
Most of these names, with the exception of Willoughby, are fixtures at Channel 4, suggesting why they have garnered these odds.

Willoughby, however, is the only non-specialist presenter of the bunch, with Balding being a sporting host, Guru-Murthy a news anchor, and Beeny, Allsopp and Spencer all specialising in property TV.
Betway’s Alan Alger, however, justified the predictions.
“There’s been enough interest in Channel 4 cooking up a deal for Kirsty & Phil to present next year’s Great British Bake Off that they’ve risen straight to the top of our betting at 7/2,” he explained. “Holly Willoughby is a quietly supported 8/1-shot to land a presenting role when the show hits Channel 4 next year.”
Alger was also sure to add: “The punters can’t see her friend and Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon joining her at 50/1.”
The Great British Bake Off’s current season airs on Wednesdays at 8pm on BBC One.
