Game of Thrones season 6: The Battle of the Bastards trailer promises heads will roll
THE preview for the ninth episode of Game of Thrones has dropped, giving fans a tantalising look at next week's episode.
Jon Snow on battlefield facing off against Ramsay Bolton
Finally the showdown between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) will be taking place as they fight over Winterfell.
In the 50-second preview Jon is heard telling his sister Sansa (Sophie Turner): “Battles have been won against greater odds. I fought beyond the Wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton.”
But having dealt first hand with the sadistic Ramsay, Sansa tells him angrily: “You don’t know him!”

Ramsay is seen smiling with an evil grin as he stands on the frontline of the battle for the North.
He expression suggests that he is smirking over the paltry army that Sansa has managed to gather against the might of the Bolton forces.
Later on Jon is heard having a quiet conversation with Melisandre (Carice van Houten), he tells the red priestess: “If we fall, don’t bring me back.”

Finally, Jon tells Ramsay: “Thousands of men don’t need to die, only one of us.”
The trailer ends with both sides launching an attack that promises heads will roll and there will be losses and brutality.
Episode nine of each season of Game of Thrones has always been the most climactic of the run and shocking and The Battle of the Bastards promises to be no different.
While the focus is on the North, there may be twists and turns in other parts of the Game of Thrones universe as season six begins to draw to a close.
