Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid forced to power through GMB in ’90 degree heat'
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN was thrown into chaos today as the air conditioning went bust, forcing Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid to swelter thorough the show in “90 degree heat”.
Piers Morgan complains about the air conditioning being broken on GMB
Explaining why the team, which also included Charlotte Hawkins and Laura Tobin, looked particularly flustered this morning, Piers, 50, explained the ITV studio had been transformed into the Sahara Desert for the day.
“The air conditioning is broken today by the way so it’s about 90 degrees,” he told viewers. “There’s a good chance we’ll all immolate on air, which will be good for ratings.”
Just minutes into the daily topical chat show, Piers tweeted his despair to his 4.9 million followers on Twitter, posting: “Stiflingly hot in the studio today. Might actually spontaneously combust live on air."
Thankfully, Piers’ predicted immolation never happened, and the pair powered on through the show in their typically professional manner.

His comments came after his co-star Susanna was challenged to look at the former Britain’s Got Talent judge for more than two seconds.
Showbiz reporter Ross King noted that one thing he loves about the stunning brunette, is her “inability” to stare at Piers and clearly, the task may have been harder than it sounds as 45-year-old Susanna failed miserably.

Almost immediately after gazing into Piers’ eyes, Susanna turned away and chuckled: “It’s not because of the way you physically look,” she half-heartedly assured. “It’s the look on your face - you can’t help but wind me up.”
Disappointed, Piers quipped: “Finally, Ross got something right.”
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
