Pick of the day: Alex Polizzi – The Fixer Returns
8pm, BBC2
Polizzi returns to some of the businesses she first helped more than a year ago, catching up on their struggles since she left and discovering whether they have managed to turn things around while still battling against the harshest economic conditions in living memory.
In this episode Polizzi returns to Chough’s bakery in Padstow, Cornwall, and Kettley’s furniture shop near Leeds.
When she first arrived, both businesses were in a bad way. When she left, Chough’s was holding Padstow’s first Cornish pasty day (even the most famous local, Rick Stein, turned up to see what the competition is like) and Kettley’s was trying to get to grips with trading in the 21st century. How have things continued since Polizzi departed?
