TV to film Great Fire of London
THE blaze that devastated London in 1666, changing the face of the capital for ever, is to be portrayed in a lavish television production.
The Great Fire Of London will interweave the stories of humble baker Thomas Farriner, in whose bakery the fire started, diarist Samuel Pepys, Charles II and other historical and fictitious characters.
ITV commissioned the drama from Ecosse Films and filming will start later this year.
