Sebastian Salek and Cristo Foufas became embroiled in a furious clash on GB News as they discussed Daily Express' Friday (March 27) front page which read: "Kick out this monster and do not spend a penny!" . The story related to an Afghan asylum seeker who had abducted and raped a 12-year-old girl. Cristo asked Sebastian if he believed there was an argument to say that the likelihood of people from countries with different views on the topic comitting these kind of crimes when they come to the UK is highger.

However, Sebastian hit back that he hadn't seen evidence for that, while Cristo pushed that there needs to be firmer data on it and pushed for the government and police service to start logging the ethnicity and background of perpetrators. Sebastian immediately responded that until that happens, any assumptions are "fuelled by prejudice and prejudice only". His comment sparked outrage from Cristo who hit back: "No, no!" while Sebastian raged: "You have no data! You just admitted you have no data!"

However, Patrick Christys then jumped in and said there was data, stating: "The claim that Afghans are 14.5x more likely to commit sexual assault comes from an analysis from Madeleine Sumption who is the Director of Migration Observatory at Oxford University. It’s based on their research by it, it’s based on analysis of various different court cases."

Sebastian dismissed it until he heard the complete analysis and told Patrick to "prove it" as the host responded: "But it's coming from an official source?" Cristo was researching the analysis at the time and then explained how they emerged, but Sebastian dismissed it again as he raged: "It may be credible but I have not read the report and you cannot tell me!"

The row then moved on to the fact that the “biggest number of perpetrators are British men”, as Sebastian said: “I’d tackle that first.” Cristo fumed: “We’re not talking about British men,” as Sebastian raged: “That’s the problem! They’re the biggest cohort of rapists in this country.”

Cristo raged: “Why are we adding to a problem that exists already? There is a very easy get out. British people raping is a horrific thing, of course it is, but an easy win to reduce the number of overall rapes is saying the people that come from abroad if we stop that, that’s a big proportion that will be reduced!”

Sebastian responded that a narrative is “being pushed” that the majority of rapists in the UK have come from another country which he said is “simply not true”. Cristo cut in and said that wasn’t what was stated and he “needed to be aware of how data is explained”.

Patrick intervened and said they needed to move on as a third guest fumed that it was "really serious" and that this information was things that people need to know, with Sebastian ending the debate by saying it's "discriminatory" to not allow people into the country because they "might be a rapist".
