Fresh questions have been raised about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after the disgraced royal’s increasingly isolated life was dissected by experts. During a discussion on TalkTV, broadcaster Jeremy Kyle and royal biographer Andrew Lownie weighed in on reports surrounding the former Duke of York — with the pair openly speculating about his life in exile and the impact the scandal surrounding Jeffrey Epstein has had on his mental health.

Andrew is now living at Sandringham after losing many of his royal privileges and has recently received an unexpected visit from the King’s domestic chaplain. Kyle told viewers: “Exiled man had a rare visitor to his temporary home at Sandringham over the weekend - the King's domestic chaplain. The ex-Duke sees the Sandringham priest a few hours before the King. Was he confessing his sins Andrew do you think? Or looking for divine inspiration of how to get out of the hole he made?”

Royal author Andrew Lownie suggested the meeting reflects how alone the former prince has become.

He replied: “Well who knows. He may be finding religion. I think it’s just they’ve taken pity on him. I mean no one else is visiting him so I suppose the local vicar should.”

The former Duke of York — stripped of his titles and public roles following his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — has reportedly been living in increasing isolation since leaving his longtime residence at Royal Lodge. He has always denied all allegations against him.

Andrew is said to be in a fragile emotional state as he adjusts to life without the privileges and status he once enjoyed.

Kyle told Lownie: “We read about Fergie, she’s in some wellness clinic talking about mental illness and 'everybody’s out to get me.'

"You’ve gotta paint the picture of this guy sat on his own in Sandringham - and I’m gonna ask the question that everybody will probably get upset about… I suspect there are many people who are feeling he’s so ostracised he can’t even go horse riding. Are they worried about his mental health and what he might do to himself?”

Lownie said: “Well that’s been a message from the palace for a long time. Everything I’m told from people close to him until very recently was that he still hasn’t really understood the seriousness of what he did and his position, he’s more concerned about where he’s gonna park his car.”

Reports circulating in recent months have painted a bleak picture of Andrew’s life following the collapse of his royal standing.

Sources have claimed he has struggled with the loss of his titles, public role and long-term residence, leaving him feeling humiliated and deeply isolated.

The Daily Mail previously claimed there was “real panic behind the scenes” as the prince attempted to adjust to life outside the royal spotlight.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror that Andrew's forced removal from the Royal Lodge, his home for decades, is likely to have caused the greatest emotional damage.

"Andrew could be part of a new community, although it seems rather doubtful that many communities would welcome him in their midst," she said.
